High-Potency Dropper Serums feature naturally-derived ingredients Niacinamide, Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, Peptides,  and Retinol

With the tremendous worldwide popularity for serums packaged in dropper bottles, Urist Cosmetics has developed six products that deliver high concentrations of cosmetically active and effective ingredients.

Niacinamide or Niacin

Topical Niacinamide or Niacin (also known as Vitamin B3) features a wide range of well-known benefits:

  • Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Improves the elasticity of the skin
  • Rebalances uneven skin tone
  • Reduces discoloration
  • Clarifies skin for a blemish-free, shine-free, refined skin appearance
  • Helps protect from UV and blue light damage for beautiful and healthy skin
  • Protects against damage from urban pollutants

Niacinamide is featured in 5% Niacinamide Age-Defying Serum

Vitamin C

Topical Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) provides multiple benefits to the skin. Since Vitamin C is not very stable in cosmetic products, derivatives of Vitamin C are usually used instead of Vitamin C itself.

The well-known stabilized derivative of Vitamin  (known under the tradename Stay-C®*) has many documented skin benefits including reducing the look of wrinkles, skin brightening, protection from environmental exposure, and clearing acne-prone skin.

Hyaluronic Acid (often abbreviated as HA)

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is one of the best known and referenced moisturizing and hydrating cosmetic ingredients making hyaluronic acid-containing products some of the most popular on the market

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is one of the world’s best moisturizers. As the skin ages, it loses its ability to hold water. Hyaluronic Acid helps deliver water to the skin cells.  These moisture-saturated skin cells make your skin look firmer, tighter, and younger-looking.

Peptides

Peptides are fragments of proteins consisting of amino acids. There are numerous cosmetic peptides, each having specific effects on the skin. Some peptides have demonstrated a remarkable skin-soothing effect, while others can improve the appearance of wrinkles or address specific needs such as skin discoloration and hydration. Here are the peptides used in the dropper serum products:

Matrixyl®* peptide(palmitoyl pentapeptide-4 or palmitoyl pentapeptide-3 (old name)), is a patented ingredient from France that has shown to decrease the look of wrinkle depth up to 68%! Matrixyl®* is probably the world’s best known cosmetic peptide.

Argireline®**peptide(acetyl hexapeptide-8 or acetyl hexapeptide-3 (old name)) is a trademarked ingredient from Spain which has been shown to smooth expression lines.

Replexium®*** peptide is a new, patented innovative dual peptide (Acetyl Tetrapeptide-11 (and) Acetyl Tetrapeptide- 9) from BASF  for the improvement of the visible signs of aging. Replexium® demonstrates quick efficacy by reducing the appearance of wrinkles and provides skin-firming benefits within three weeks.

Retinol (Vitamin A)

Topical Retinol and its derivatives (generally known as retinoids) have an established history in skincare.

In 1979 tretinoin (a retinoid known under the tradename Retin-A), was found to help with severe acne. It was observed that middle-aged women treated with tretinoin for acne showed smoother, less wrinkled skin in addition to the clearing of acne. Visible improvements were also apparent in skin texture, wrinkling, and pigmentation.

Although these effects were first studied using tretinoin, retinol palmitate has similar results but without the irritation caused by tretinoin. It is also available without a prescription.

Retinol Palmitate is an exfoliator, and its effect of repeatedly shedding the upper dermal layer forces the skin to produce more new cells.  Retinol Palmitate is the ester form of Retinol, which is less irritating and more stable than Retinol (vitamin A). It is one of the best known and best studied of all anti-aging ingredients.
